David realizes how much he hurt Amanda, and feels terrible. 112 He Ain't Pele, He's my Brother One of Caitlyn's kindergarten classmates, a little boy named Evan, arrives at the DoReMi Magic Shop one day looking for something a little magical to make his greatest wish come true. He chooses a necklace with what looks to him to be a soccer-ball pendant. (It's actually a panda bear pendant-but Dorie's hand-craft skills still haven't improved very much!) Later, Dorie learns that Evan wants a soccer ball pendant because his greatest wish is to see his big brother, Charlie, kick the winning goal in the next soccer game. Unfortunately, Charlie's soccer skills leave a lot to be desired. Looks like both Evan and Charlie will need some magical assistance from their new Witchling friends! 113 Parsley and Rosemary As they well know, the Witchlings must pass a total of nine tests in order to become full-fledged witches. With The Team Test fast approaching, Dorie is in complete and utter panic. When the Witchlings arrive in the Lunaverse and once again meet their exam proctors, Drona and Roana, they are requested to fill out a questionnaire which asks them about their greatest fears. When they finish the questionnaire, the girls are given a strange riddle and sent on a journey through the Lunaverse to solve it. Their answers on the questionnaire may help them solve the riddle, but they'll have to face their greatest fears and use a bit of Witchling know-how to figure it all out! 114 A Tall Order Gia is a tall strong girl at school who's the star of school gym class, basketball games. She single-handedly, steals the win from Simon Oliver and Stewart of the S.O.S. crew, and therein incites their witty wrath. The S.O.S. crew mocks Gia in jeering sing-songs, and calls her 'Gia the Giraffe.' Gia's a gentle giant who takes it all in the spirit of fun. But she soon confesses to Dorie, Reanne and Mirabelle, though most people don't know, she has a soft side too! She'd love to wear a fancy dress to her upcoming birthday party but she's outgrown every nice dress she owns. 115 Patina goes to Kindergarten Dorie's bratty little sister Caitlyn decides to go snooping around The DoReMi Magic Shop. When Caitlyn arrives, she accidentally stumbles upon the little green glob Patina-all to the horror of the Witchlings! Since they must keep their Witchling identities a secret, Dorie, Reanne and Mirabelle lie and tell Caitlyn that Patina is just a doll. Caitlyn is immediately fascinated and decides to buy the 'doll' with allowance money she has saved. Within moments, Caitlyn makes her purchase and spirits off with Patina-who she re-names 'Squishy'-in tow! Can the girls save Patina from Caitlyn's clutches? Or will Patina be forever 'Squishy?' 116 Gone Fishin' It seems the constantly crushy Dorie is in love once again-this time with a boy named Bo whom her dad met on a fishing trip. But it seems Patina, the green grouch will only give the girls time off from The DoReMi Magic Shop, if they agree to take her along. 117 Sketches of Pain The whole school is abuzz with rumors that a tough kid in Dorie's class, named Justin, might get expelled for picking a fight with three fifth graders! All of the students in Dorie's class are dismayed and shocked at his behavior-Reanne most of all! It seems Reanne was Justin's friend in Kindergarten, and she attests, Justin used to be a sweet, sensitive boy. Reanne knows Justin couldn't have changed so much-there must be something behind Justin's actions. Luckily Miss Cooper seems to agree, but when Justin is caught trespassing in an empty warehouse one night, it's over Miss Coopers head, and Justin's possible expel becomes a likelihood! 118 The Flora Test It's time for the Witchlings' next exam, The Flora Test. The three Witchlings decide to use their unexpected free time to explore the Lunaverse and, in their travels, meet none other than Lumina, the Queen of the Lunaverse! But it seems that everyone-the Witchlings' classmates included-prefer Patunia's place! Word has it that Patunia's magical charms grant your wishes right away! When the Witchlings ask Patina why their charms don't work as well as Patunia's, Patina informs them, since Patunia is a full-fledged witch, her powers are greater. 122 We Need a Wandawhirl If Dorie, Reanne and Mirabelle pass The Wandawhirl Test, their combined powers used in Perfect Harmony, will equal that of a full-fledged witch! And that means, they could defeat Patunia and reverse the power of her magically monstrous pendants! But there's only one problem! The girls have to take their exam in the Lunaverse-and they can only get to the Lunaverse through the back door of Patunia's Mystery Wind Magic Shop! They use their last Spell Drop to transform themselves into cockroaches, and sneak past Patunia through the back door of her Mystery Wind Magic Shop to enter the Lunaverse, but they don't have enough Spell Drops left to take the test! 124 Down in the Dumps Having passed The Wandawhirl Test, the Witchlings, along with their newly acquired Wandawhirls, get to work on defeating the evil Patunia! But it seems Patunia may have unwittingly helped in her own demise. Her many customers have begun to notice that, although her magical pendants can often yield dramatic results, they also yield equally, dramatic, negative, effects, namely, mysterious injury or illness! When a mob of angry customers destroy The Mystery Wind Magic Shop, Patunia orders her fairy Felina along with her assistants Rodentia and Badden to clean things up. Patunia's assistants unwittingly throw away Patunia's crystal ball, or Orble and the sinister sorceress can no longer perform magic! 125 The New Witch on the Block When Caitlyn learns that her little doll 'Squishy' (aka Patina) can actually talk, she suspects the girls haven't been telling the total truth. Once she gets over the whole 'Squishy' thing, Patina is glad to see Caitlyn is a good candidate for Witchling training-she's sharp, quick and determined! 126 That Darn Evil Cat When a girl at school named Hailey twists her ankle in the playground, Dorie, Reanne and Mirabelle offer to carry her home to her dad's steak house. Hailey's mother's hurt in an automobile accident, her father burned his hand cooking, and business at dad's once popular steak house suddenly went south. With Hailey now hurt, they're short a few hands at the steak house-so the Witchlings throw themselves into the daily operations of the eatery! They're disturbed to see a couple enter the restaurant only to leave immediately as if they'd seen a ghost. When the Witchlings ask the potential patrons why they panicked, the couple explains they felt a strange, negative energy by the door. But their espionage is interrupted when they suddenly realize a pick-pocket has stolen Miss Cooper's wallet and Dorie's Dreamspinner! 128 You Ought Not to be in Pictures Lumina, Queen of the Lunaverse bestows Dorie, Reanne, and Mirabelle a special title which enables them to remove evil magic Groblings from the world by using a magic computer, called the Groblegrabber. When the girls use the Groblegrabber for the first time, they find careless Warlock, Feradagio, trapped inside! It seems the Warlock had accidentally set Groblings upon the human world years ago and he's been turned into a little yellow blob and locked inside the Groblegrabber as punishment for this distasteful deed! He will not be released from the Groblegrabber until all of the world's Groblings are retrieved. The girls team-up with Feradagio and set out on their first mission to find a Grobling! 129 Love Serving Love The gang hits Reanne's summer retreat in the mountains for some weekend R and R, where Dorie meets totally cute tennis boy, Jeremy, at the local tennis club. Dorie's dismayed to find class snob, Josie Huffington, vacationing there as well and totally crushing on Dories crush! It's Dorie vs. Josie in a match that's love serving love. But somewhere in the middle of it all, the Witchlings discover Jeremy's track of dating disasters may be the work of an evil magic Grobling. 131 Careful What You Witch For Dorie, Reanne, and Mirabelle go to the Lunaverse to take the The Watchawant Test and find the subject of the exam is to 'Determine What Others Desire Most.' 132 Scooter for President The class snob, Josie, has always held the position of class president and no one wants to challenge her for the title. But when Scooter raises a timid hand, the war is on! Dorie, Reanne, and Mirabelle know that Scooter's the best man for the job so they try to use a little Witchling magic to sway the campaign. But magic's no cure all. One of her brothers will soon graduate and move onto middle school - so this year's Olympathon is their last chance to compete alongside one another, and the siblings are psyched! It seems this particular Turtle and this particular Hare are both famous athletes! Plus, Dorie's mad she's teamed-up with her fairy Dodo, who seems at times a bigger blunder than Dorie herself! 137 The Lost Greenlings In the Lunaverse, they have a name for little green blobs of goo like Patina - they're called Greenlings. When a wild storm uproots the Greenlings from Straytown and sends them careening into the Human World - Lumina, Queen of the Lunaverse, needs wide-scale damage control pronto; the Greenlings must be recovered before they are discovered by humans! 138 Of Monsters and Witchlings Peter absolutely loves Gazamadon, the monster. He's too obsessed with Gazamadon to do his schoolwork. He'd rather play Gazamadon games with kids than play soccer with boys his age. When everyone in class is assigned to make a model of their favorite thing, Peter gets so involved in his Gazamadon model, that he totally misses his soccer game! Soccer teammates, Todd and David are furious. They blame losers like Peter for the loss. Peter is so upset by the ordeal, he destroys his Gazamadon model and vows to hate Gazamadon forever! Phillip's afraid to admit he shares his father's talent, because it might dredge-up Dad's olden day despairs. But after thirty five straight wins, Candi encounters a shocking defeat! All are deflated, but the Witchlings soon realize that this must be the work of yet another evil magic Grobling. A magical, musical odyssey through the secret world of witches-in-training, Magical DoReMi is the story of three 3rd graders and best friends (Dorie, Reanne and Mirabelle) who—armed with the power of music and the desire to make the world a better place—embark on a journey to become full-fledged witches. These Witchlings, as they are known in the Lunaverse, must go through eight stages of apprenticeship which take them on endless adventures and introduce them to a cast of colorful characters.
